Louvered or jalousie windows are installed much in the same manner as traditional windows are. Care should be taken to ensure rough opening sizes and use of shims for plumbing and leveling are recommended. Properly secure the windows and doors with screws, tapcons, or nails – fastener choice depends on the material you are installing to. Many times louvered windows are installed in concrete structures because they are traditionally used in warmer climates.
